Yassi Pressman feels honored to be considered to portray the iconic Filipino superheroine Darna.
However, she clarified that she has not received any formal offers to bring life to the komiks superheroine created by Mars Ravelo.
"Nakikita ko po sa Twitter at nakikita ko po sa Facebook. Pero hindi po," she said in a video interview uploaded by the corporate communications department of ABS-CBN.
She also pointed out: “Kahit sabihin na even if I don't get to play the role, kung isa ako sa mga iniisip nila na posible, e, sobrang nakakatuwa."
“Just the fact na naiisip nila na maging part ako or choice, thankful ako.”
Star Cinema’s movie version of Darna was offered to Angel Locsin who first played the role for the 2005 GMA-7 telefantasya.
However, Angel backed out upon finding out that she developed a disc bulge in her spine.
However, in a recent interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Angel said that after undergoing medical treatment, she is now open to reprising the role.

Yassi also made it clear to the public that she is just friends with FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano co-star Coco Martin.
“Huwag na po natin bigyan ng malisya.”
Now that a lot of opportunities are coming her way, Yassi plans to prioritize her career.
“Ang dami ko pang dreams ngayon, nabibigyan ng pagkakataon. Ayaw ko naman pong sayangin.”
After several years of being a freelance artist, and doing shows with three TV networks, Yassi signed an exclusive two-year contract with the Kapamilya Network yesterday, February 23.
