Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta attended the premiere of their digitally restored film classic Hihintayin Kita sa Langit at Glorietta 4 Cinemas in Makati City last night February 27.
In a quick interview with Richard, he expressed gratitude to ABS-CBN Film Restoration for choosing his first movie with Dawn.
The actor recalled, “This is very important kasi when it was first shown in 1991, this is the first movie na nakapagbigay akin ng acting award sa Urian, my very first acting award.”
He pointed out how this movie helped him become closer to Dawn, who became his girlfriend through while filming Hihintayin Kita sa Langit.
“Well, on record, dito kami naging mag-boyfriend-girlfriend ni Dawn Zulueta, sa movie na ito.
“It's memorable because Batanes is such a beautiful place, 'no.
“Up to this day, pinag-uusapan pa rin ang movie na ito dahil sa Batanes.
“Doon talaga kami nagkasama ni Dawn, shooting the movie, being together and knowing each other,” he said with a smile.
Asked if there will be another project for him to work with Dawn, Richard replied, “Siguro. Hindi natin alam. It depends. Hindi natin alam kung ano ang matutuloy.
“I'm happy na maraming fans na naghihintay ng movie.”
Richard and Dawn first reunited after a long time in the movie She's Dating the Gangster (2014), topbilled by the Kathniel love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

The actor-turned-politician said, “It's also nice because yung mga younger generation will be able to watch beautiful Filipino classic movies, which is right now mapapanood.
“I'm happy that people are happy that Richard and Dawn fans are here tonight, watching this movie. It's actually something to remember.”
Dawn briefly added, “Maraming-maraming salamat sa kanila. Sa fans namin noon na may pamilya, mga anak na sumusuporta pa rin po sa amin, maraming salamat.”
