Ai-Ai delas Alas believes no one can replace deceased director Wenn Deramas.
In a recent interview with the Comedy Concert Queen, she acknowledged Direk Wenn as the man behind the success of her blockbuster comedy films—three-part movie series Ang Tanging Ina (2003), Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat (2008), and Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last Na 'To!) (2010); superheroine movie Volta; and her last Metro Manila Film Festival movie with the director, Sisterakas (2012).
Ai-Ai says this is the reason she will let Star Cinema choose the director for her comeback movie with the ABS-CBN film production company.
“It's a classic film from Direk Wenn, so ngayon iba naman.”
This day marks Direk Wenn's death anniversary. He died in February 29, 2016 due to cardiac arrest from heart attack.
Ai-Ai feels happy to be given an opportunity to work with Star Cinema again.
“Kasi, siyempre, home studio ko talaga 'yong Star Cinema,” she said.
Ai-Ai's last movie with Star Cinema before she moved to GMA Network was Past Tense, with Kapamilya love team Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.
Right now, the Hay Bahay actress cannot give any detail yet about the movie project.
