Jennylyn Mercado tries new movie genre; inks contract with Reality Entertainment

GMA-7 actress Jennylyn Mercado recently signed a movie contract with film outfit Reality Entertainment.

Dubbed as the Kapuso network’s Ultimate Star, Jennylyn announced this on her Instagram account on April 10.

Jennylyn revealed is set to do a new genre for this upcoming film.

She wrote, “My first movie for the year, and first time working with Reality Entertainment on a genre na first time ko ding gagawin. I hope you share the excitement for #JennylynRealityMovie coming soon.”


Reality Entertainment is the movie outfit founded by director Erik Matti and movie producer Dondon Monteverde.

They produced the movies Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles (2012), OTJ: On The Job (2013), Honor Thy Father (2015), and the recently shown film Seklusyon, which was a big winner at the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival.

No other details were revealed yet about Jennylyn’s upcoming film, which also serves as her first movie this 2017.

The StarStruck 1 Ultimate Female Survivor’s last movie was the Star Cinema film Just The 3 of Us, where she was paired with John Lloyd Cruz. It was shown in May 2016.
