McCoy de Leon shot a topless scene for his indie film titled Instalado, which is a part of the 2nd TOFARM Film Festival.
Behind-the-scenes pictures show that McCoy went topless when he did a scene with a carabao for this film shot in Pampanga.
He even shared a photo of his bare torso in his Instagram account on June 5.
When PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked McCoy how he prepared for his topless scenes, the Hashtags member let out a big laugh.
He quipped, "Ay, yun nga, e! Di naman siya sobrang intimate. Masabi lang na may topless! Mamaya, mag-expect kayo!"
Did McCoy also shoot intimate scenes for the movie?
PEP spoke to Mccoy during the listening session for "If We Fall In Love," his new single with love team partner Elisse Joson last June 1 at the ABs-CBN compound.
Instalado is directed by Jason Paul Laxamana and will be screened during the TOFARM Film Festival in select cinemas from July 12 to 18.
Aside from McCoy, Instalado also stars Francis Magundayao and Junjun Quintana.
Instalado is a science fiction drama set in a farming village a few years into the future. Victor lives in a time when the dominant form of education is through installation, an overnight process that allows bodies of knowledge to be installed directly on people's brains using technology owned by corporations. Unfortunately, Victor, like many others in the agricultural town of Porac, cannot afford the sky-high cost of installation, which he believes is the key to pull his family out of poverty. To raise money for installation, Victor temporarily abandons farming and works as the household helper of a wealthy childhood friend who has become extremely successful after undergoing a series of installations.
COCO MARTIN LESSONS. According to McCoy, he had fun doing Instalado, especially when he had to do immersion in order to portray a farmer.
Dami nangyari."
What makes the movie more special is that it is his first time to topbill an independently produced film.
He said, "First time ko kasi nag-indie, e.
To prepare for the role, McCoy had to refrain from using gadgets.
He answered, "Ginamit ko yung lugar kasi sobrang malayo sa siyudad talaga. Bundok, kalabaw, bata, ilog.
He also kept in mind the lessons he learned from Coco Martin, who starred in several indie films before penetrating mainstream cinema and TV.
The two are currently co-stars in ABS-CBN's primetime teleserye FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.
