John Lloyd Cruz was all praises for Sarah Geronimo during the July 14 press conference of their fourth movie together, titled Finally Found Someone.
The ABS-CBN actor said he did not hesitate when offered to do another movie with the Popstar Princess.
“I love working with Sarah. I love our films together. I love the process kahit na medyo mahirap akong katrabaho.
“I always look forward to working with her.
Prior to doing Finally Found Someone, John Lloyd and Sarah topbilled a three-part movie series—A Very Special Love (2008), You Changed My Life (2009), and It Takes a Man and a Woman (2013).
Since it has been around four years since they last worked together in an acting project, John Lloyd was surprised by Sarah's performance in their upcoming movie.
He said, “I was totally blown away.
Parang ayaw niyang maniwala, which I think is actually amusing.
“It adds more beauty to her personality.
“There was one scene talaga na I was totally blown away.
“Siguro, for that scene alone, kailangan n'yong mapanood itong pelikulang ito. And take one lang yun.”
John Lloyd refused to talk further about the scene. But he stressed, “It's a very important scene.
“So, sana kapag nakita n'yo, maalala n'yo 'tong sinasabi ko.”
Sarah, who was seated beside John Lloyd during the press conference, giggled when she heard his compliments.
She said, “Thank you, yun naman siya, e.
NO MORE ROM-COM FOR SARAH? Sarah admitted that before she was offered this movie, she decided not to accept romantic-comedy projects anymore.
But she changed her mind when she learned about the role that she would be portraying.
The singer-actress briefly described her character April, “Nakakatuwa, e, kasi napaka-relevant niya.
Finally Found Someone is about an unexpected romance between PR hotshot named Raffy Sandoval (John Lloyd) and honest-to-goodness girl April Esguerra (Sarah).
A PR emergency brings in the two together, and they discover that they have so much in common though they are polar opposites: they are kindred souls on a quest for something that will complete their lives.
Directed by Theodore Boborol, Finally Found Someone aims to convert every jaded heart into true believers of love because of Raffy and April's journey.
Joining Sarah and John Lloyd in the movie are Joey Marquez, Yayo Aguila, Tetchie Agbayani, Dennis Padilla, Alwyn Uytingco, Alexa Ilacad, Christian Bables, Joj Agpangan, and Milo Elmido, Jr., with special participation of Enchong Dee.
Finally Found Someone will be shown in cinemas nationwide on July 26.
