If Ryza Cenon had a choice, she prefers to portray a character that is different from her current role in Ika-6 Na Utos.
The GMA-7 actress said she wants variety in her roles. While she's doing well as the antagonist in the hit afternoon drama series, Ryza will also be seen in different character in the movie Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B.
“Dapat malayo kay Georgia. Kumbaga, kung dito sa Manananggal, sa Mananaggal lang siya.
“Para hindi po magsawa ang mga tao, na parang, 'Ayan na naman siya. Ayan na naman ang ginagawa niya,'” Ryza explained.
Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B is part of Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino that will be held from August 16 to 22 in cinemas nationwide.
After this, Ryza will shift to a sweet image in her new movie project titled Mr. and Mrs Cruz.
At the press conference of Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B last August 1, she mentioned that she wants to experience how it is to be part of a romantic-comedy project.
“Gusto ko rin malaman ang feeling ng magpa-cute, mag-rom-com,” said Ryza who leads the cast of the said dark romantic movie.
Luckily, her movie with JC Santos is a romantic-comedy. It will be directed by the newest blockbuster director Sigrid Andrea Bernardo.
Does this mean she's ready to be part of a new love team that will bring kilig to Pinoy audience?
Ryza admitted with smile, “Kailangan ko pang mag-workshop kasi ang hirap, e.
“Every day po kasi Georgia ako, mahirap mag-shift agad, so kailangan ko pang mag-workshop.”
Ryza said they already had their story conference for Mr. and Mrs. Cruz.
However, she politely declined to give details about the movie, “Hindi ko po alam kung allowed na akong magsabi.”
This is Ryza's first movie under Viva Entertainment after she signed a managerial contract with Viva Artists Agency recently.
