Ray Fisher, who will play Cyborg in the upcoming Hollywood film Justice League, believes that part of getting to know "a particular group's culture is learning their geek culture as well."

For the first time in his life, Justice League actor Ray Fisher took part in the Asia Pop Comic Convention 2017 at the SMX Convention Center in the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

The American Broadway actor is set to make his breakthrough debut as the half-human, half-machine titan Cyborg in the upcoming comic book film Justice League.

This comic convention marked the first time Ray went to Asia and to the Philippines.

Ray told the media during his meet-and-greet session with the press, "I've been to San Diego Comic-Con. I've been to New Zealand and Australia. But this is my first time to Manila, this is my first to Asia, this is my first time to Asia [Pop Comic] Con, so thank you so much!"

While Ray hasn't found the time to explore the metro, he was already aware of the beautiful islands and looks forward to returning soon for a vacation.

He told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) "I have some friends from the Philippines who would give me suggestions of what to do while I was here, but I'm only here for two days.

"Most of those days will be spent here in the convention center, so what I plan on doing is taking some time later on--maybe next year or this year--to take a trip back and really immerse myself in the culture."

. Fans of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) already got a glimpse of Ray's character Cyborg in the film Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In the highly-anticipated Justice League film, Ray will be seen alongside Ben Affleck's Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, and Ezra Miller's The Flash.

Ray admitted that the entire experience still felt like a dream to him, " It still feels kinda unbelievable, to be honest with you. I feel like one day sombody's just gonna wake me up out of this dream.…

"I feel proud to be able to represent Cyborg in the film and in the DCEU on the whole…"

One his favorite moments on Justice League was standing "strong" and "proud" with his fellow League members for the first time in an epic sequence shot by director Zack Synder.

"There's a scene in the film where the whole league is together for what we could call the first time, and everyone's standing strong and standing proud in the way that Zack has shot that sequence… This was like my childhood dream come true."

Ray admitted that he and fellow cast mate Ezra Miller hummed the opening theme to the early 2000s Justice League animated series when they were doing the sequence.

"We're in costume, trying to not let the camera pick it up."

Justice League will premiere in Philippine cinemas this November.
