Empoy gets new leading lady in next movie; names GMA-7 comedian he wants to work with

After he renewed his exclusive contract with Star Cinema, Empoy Marquez revealed that Ellen Adarna will be his new leading lady for his next film.


Empoy Marquez gets a new leading lady for his upcoming film with Star Cinema.

And his partner is none other than sexy actress Ellen Adarna!

This was announced during Empoy's contract signing with Star Cinema.

The lead actor of the box-office hit Kita Kita recently renewed his exclusive movie contract with ABS-CBN's film production arm.

He said about his new leading lady: "For a change!"

However, no other details were revealed about his movie.

Empoy was quoted as saying in an interview with ABS-CBN News, "Hanggang ngayon po ang movie ay nire-revise pa po, abangan na lang po."

Last July, Empoy was paired with Alessandra de Rossi for the romance film Kita Kita, which is now considered the highest-grossing Filipino indie film.

The movie featuring the AlEmpoy tandem earned P320 million at the Philippine box-office.

Fans of the AlEmpoy love team will see Empoy reunite with Alessandra de Rossi, when they co-star in a still-untitled teleserye featuring Piolo Pascual, Arci Munoz, and JC de Vera.

Asked to name the stars whom he would like to work with, Empoy expressed his desire to work in future projects with comedians Vhong Navarro and Vice Ganda, who are in ABS-CBN, and with Joey de Leon, who is in GMA-7.
