Jon Lucas recalls most challenging scene he did with Maris Racal, Jane Oineza, and Jameson Blake in Haunted Forest inside a real forest: "Makikita mo, may gumagapang na... yung mga alupihan, yung mga ganun so parang hindi ka pwedeng tumayo, hindi ka pwedeng ano kasi baka makasagabal naman sa action!"

ABS-CBN actor Jon Lucas tries doing a horror movie for the first time via Haunted Forest, an official entry to the 43rd Metro Manila Film Festival.

When PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke to Jon in a recent press conference, the movie was not yet announced as an entry to the 2017 MMFF.

According to the Hashtags member, he enjoyed doing his first horror film, especially those scenes that required him wearing a harness.

Aside from the harness scene, Jon also recalled the mos challenging scene he did with his co-stars Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, and Jameson Blake.

"Hanggang siyempre, may kanya-kanyang shot.

ON BEING COMPARED TO HAUNTED MANSION. Regal Films is known for producing successful horror films, such as the Shake, Rattle, and Roll series, and the successful 2015 MMFF entry Haunted Mansion, top-billed by Janella Salvador.

This is the reason why Jon was very happy when the movie was first offered to him.

He gushed, "First time kong makagawa ng movie tapos ito, under Regal pa.

"So ito excited ako.

He has also good words for his other co-stars, especially Jameson who is also part of the Hashtags group.

Laughing, the 22-year-old actor said, "So ayun, nasaling kit-kit lang ako na hindi magaling doon!"

Back then, when the MMFF entries were not yet announced, Jon was vocal in saying that he wishes to see the movie in the yearly December festival.

He remarked, "Sana nga po, e, para first film po na nakasali ako na MMFF."

PEP.ph then asked him if he feels pressure since their predecessor, Haunted Mansion, was one of the top-grossers in MMFF 2015?

"So okay lang, go with the flow, life goes on, come what may.

Haunted Forest, which is directed by Ian Lorenos, was one of the four entries selected based on its finished film.

The other seven entries of MMFF 2017 are: The Revenger Squad, Ang Panday, All of You, Meant To Beh, Siargao, Ang Larawan, and Deadma Walking.
