Jameson Blake reacted to those pitting him against fellow Hashtags member Ronnie Alonte.
The two are among the most popular members of the all-male group that regularly performs in the ABS-CBN noontime show, It’s Showtime.
Jameson and Ronnie are getting big breaks both in movies and on television, prompting some people to compare the two Kapamilya actors.
“Si Ronnie, among all of us Hashtags, siya talaga yung… he had his break, he has his projects and roles,” Jameson explained at the blogcon of the movie Haunted Forest. This horror film is an entry to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival that will open in cinemas starting December 25.
“We are all proud of each other in our success,” he continued.
“I don’t know why bigla...I started to have movies and projects and I didn’t really compare.
“I wasn’t aware of what’s happening between all of us.
“People start saying that in terms of projects, pitting me against Ronnie.
“I think it’s just about timing.
“All of us has our own time. Good timing, bad timing; it’s how it works in showbiz,” Jameson explained.
Jameson bagged the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2016 Cinema One Originals Festival for the film 2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten.
Apart from Haunted Forest, he will also star in upcoming Regal Films movies, So Connected and Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi.
Ronnie has been paired with Julia Barretto in acting projects such as the now defunct primetime teleserye A Love To Last and the 2016 movie Vince And Kath And James.
