Angel Locsin most-selfied honoree at FDCP Film Ambassadors Night

Angel Locsin topped the list of most-selfied honorees at the recently-held FDCP Film Ambassadors Night, held last Friday, February 9, at Sampaguita Gardens, Valencia St., Quezon City.


Si Angel Locsin (Everything About Her) ang may pinakamaraming selfie among the 77 honorees ng 2nd annual FDCP Film Ambassadors Night na ginanap kagabi, Biyernes, Pebrero 9, sa Sampaguita Gardens, Valencia St., Quezon City.

Napaka-gracious ni Angel sa pagbibigay ng kanyang oras sa pakikipag-selfie, pati na sa ibang honorees.

Ang nasabing red carpet event ay pagdiriwang at fellowship ng Pinoy films and filmmakers na kinilala sa international festivals last year.

Kabilang pa sa dumalong honorees sina Iza Calzado (Bliss), Ricky Davao (Dayang Asu), Arnold Reyes and Mary Joy Apostol (Birdshot), at Dina Bonnevie (Across The Crescent Moon).

Nagparangal din ang FDCP sa ilang taga-TV, kaya andoon si Atom Araullo (para sa dokumentaryong Warmer).

Tatlo ang tumanggap ng Camera Obscura Artistic Excellence Award—Kita Kita (highest-grossing Pinoy indie film), Saving Sally (trail-blazing animated film), at Ferdinand Lapuz (ipinakilala ang Filipino films sa international film festivals).

Ang Camera Obscura ang pinakamataas na award na ipinagkaloob ng FDCP sa exceptional members ng film community.

Previous recipients nito sina Direk Brillante Mendoza, Direk Lav Diaz, Jaclyn Jose, Allen Dizon, at Teri Malvar.

Kinilala bilang A-listers sina Allen Dizon (Best Actor sa 33rd Warsaw international film fest sa Poland para sa Bomba), Angeli Sanoy (Best Actress sa 33rd Warsaw international film fest para pa rin sa Bomba), Bianca Balbuena (Producer of the Year sa 11th Asia Pacific Screen Awards sa Brisbane, Australia), Pailalim (directed by Daniel Palacio, tumanggap ng Fedora Award sa 65th San Sebastian international film fest sa Spain), at Pauwi Na (directed by Paolo Villaluna, nag-uwi ng Golden Goblet sa 20th Shanghai international film fest sa China).

Masagana ang ani ng full-length films last year, at kabilang sa mga nagpakitang-gilas sa international film fests ang Area, Laut, Singing in Graveyards, Baboy Halas, Ignacio de Loyola, Tale of the Lost Boys, Women of the Weeping River, Patay Na si Hesus, 2 Cool 2 Be 4Gotten, 1st Sem, Ang Babaeng Humayo, Birdshot, Dagsin, Imbisibol, Paglipay, Huramentado, Pitong Kabang Palay, Pamilya Ordinaryo, Baka Bukas, Across the Crescent Moon, Sikreto sa Dilim, at Matangtubig.
