Meet Me St. Gallen, the first movie featuring the Carlo Aquino and Bela Padilla love team, has grossed P60 million in the Philippine box office.
This was revealed by Viva Artists Agency through its Instagram account earlier today, February 19.
Produced by Spring Films, Meet Me St. Gallen was able to achieve this milestone 12 days after it premiered on February 7, 2018.
In a previous PEP Talk video held at the Summitmedia office, Bela recalled how she and Carlo shot their love scene for the movie directed by Irene Villamor.
"Madali lang namin nagawa kasi nag-rehearse rin bago mag-take. Ang mahirap kasi sa kanya, steadicam siya.
"Hindi siya yung parang naka-pwesto yung mga camera. Steadicam, para sa mga hindi nakakaalam, nakakabit siya sa katawan ng camera operator.
"Pag nagkamali siya or nag-step back siya or naalog, uulitin niyo lahat from the top.
"One shot siya from the car, papasok ng gate, papasok ng pinto, paakyat ng first floor tumigil kami sa first floor, paakyat ng second floor then silhouette."
Carlo added, "Natawid naman, one take."
Bela admitted, "First time kong makakita ng ganitong shot sa Philippine movie. We're very proud."
Did Carlo have a hard time doing a romantic and intimate scene when he was having problems with his long-time girlfriend?
"Iba nga. Siyempre kinakabahan dahil kailangan makarating sa ganitong punto.
"May kaba. Pero in-enjoy ko. Kaya ko rin kinuha ito kasi happy project ito at walang pressure."
