JM de Guzman confirms that a sequel of That Thing Called Tadhana is in the works.

He revealed this in an interview with TV Patrol aired yesterday, February 18.

The comebacking actor said, "Kinausap ko si Direk Tonet, sabi niya, nasimulan niya na yung script."

Direk Tonet is that Jadaone, the writer and director behind the successful 2014 film which also starred Angelica Panganiban.

According to JM, who just made his second showbiz comeback, That Thing Called Tadhana is special to him since it was the first movie he did after leaving rehab in 2014.

"First rehab ko, parang yun yung una kong naging film and ang ganda nung nagawa noong film na yun sa comeback ko."

Fans of the movie first called for a sequel after That Thing Called Tadhana editor Benjamin Tolentino posted a short Facebook video. In this clip, the movie's lead characters, Mace (Angelica) and Anthony (JM), chated online, inviting each other for a drink.

Taping for the teleserye already commenced last February 14.
