The 90th Annual Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, honored Hollywood's biggest and brightest names in the industry.
Guillermo Del Toro’s The Shape of Water took home the Oscar Best Picture Award and three other recognitions during the awarding ceremony held at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California on March 4 (March 5, Manila time).
Meryl Streep now holds the record for being the celebrity with the most Academy Award nominations in the show's 90 years. She received her 21st nomination for playing publisher Katharine Graham in Steven Spielberg's The Post.
Although Meryl lost out to Frances McDormand of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Meryl grabbed the spotlight for her red gown by Christian Dior.
Her look also prompted netizens to draw comparisons between Meryl and the fairy godmother in Shrek.
