Paolo Ballesteros thankful that he has no slapping scene with Maricel Soriano in their movie My 2 Mommies. "Buti na lang. 'Pag sampalin niya iwas ako'ng ganon," he quipped.

Paolo Ballesteros only has good words for Diamond Star Maricel Soriano, with whom the Eat Bulaga! actor had the chance to work with in the upcoming comedy-drama movie My 2 Mommies.

“Nakakatuwa! Parang siyempre napapanood ko lang siya dati, 'no,” Paolo said to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during a set visit held last April 17.

“Tapos tawang-tawa ako sa mga pelikula niya, tapos naiiyak din ako sa mga pelikula niya.”

In My 2 Mommies, Paolo plays the role of Manu, a closet gay, who is hiding his true identity from his mother (Maricel).

The actor describes the seasoned actress: “Nakakatawa siya.

“Ang daming sinasabi ‘pag tuloy-tuloy na ang antics niya.

“Pero lahat nakakatawa, lahat pasok.”

He even commended Maricel in one scene in the movie where, the actress did not fake his fall.

“Talagang diretso siyang bumagsak.

“May mattress naman, pero hindi umarte na parang pakunyari.

“Yung bagsak, yung tuloy-tuloy kaya nakakatuwa.”

The actor is relieved that he is thankful that he has no slapping scene with Maricel, who is known for doing such scenes realistically.

“Buti na lang. ‘Pag sampalin niya iwas ako’ng ganon,” he quipped.

My 2 Mommies tells the story of a discreet gay guy with a successful career but has not told his family about his sexuality and being in a same-sex relationship.

His life takes a drastic change when Monique (Solenn Heussaff), a woman in his past, shows up one day and admits to Manu that they have a son.

Is Manu prepared to reveal to his kid that his dad is also a “mommy” and reveal his true identity?

Is Manu ready for the responsibilities of parenthood and raise his son in an unconventional way?

My 2 Mommies top-billed by Paolo, Solenn and Maricel opens in cinemas on May 9. It also stars Joem Bascon, Diane Medina, Marcus Cabais, Mich Liggayu, and more.

This Regal Entertainment Inc.’s Mother’s Day Presentation is directed by Eric Quizon.

During the April 21 press conference of My 2 Mommies, Paolo was asked how it was like working with Joem, who is cast as his character's boyfriend in the movie.

"Masarap!" exclaimed Paolo.

Did Paolo imagine he was with an ex-boyfriend while doing his scenes with Joem?

"Wala akong iniisip na iba, si Joem lang, in the flesh."

Did they do sweet scenes with each other for this movie?

"Meron lang magkatabi sa kama, ganun.

"Masarap ka-trabaho si Joem, wala naman kaming ilangan," said Paolo.

Joem pointed out that he has common friends with Paolo so he did not feel awkward around the Eat Bulaga host.

Paolo added, "Wala nang hiya-hiya."
