Out of excitement, Maricel Soriano tripped at the premiere night of her film My 2 Mommies.
This happened while she was promoting the movie inside Cinema 7 of SM Megamall last night, May 7.
The original Regal Baby was proud to say what Regal Films Matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde has been telling her through the years: "When you say Regal, it's Marya!"
Maricel approached Mother Lily and asked her to affirm what she just said.
Mother Lily then gladly answered, "Yes, that's true!"
When Maricel returned to her seat, she shrieked when she almost fell down after taking a few steps.
The Diamond Star also revealed why she agree to do a special role in this film, which is top-billed by Paolo Ballesteros and Solenn Heussaff.
When Maricel was told that Regal Films is offering her this Mother's Day presentation, which opens tomorrow, May 9, she immediately said, "'O, kailan ang shooting?'
"'E, bakit ang dali mong kausap?' Bakit gusto mo pahirapan pa?
"Sabi ko, 'E, si Mother 'yan, e.'
"Tapos sabi nila, 'Talaga ba Mary? Hindi mo kami ineetching?'
"Mukha ba akong echosera? Sabi ko, 'I want mother to be happy.' Totoo yan!
"[At] original ako, ha! Lagi sa akin sinasabi ni Mother 'yan, 'When you say Regal, it's Marya!'
"Ito po, ginawa ko para kay Mother at siyempre para sa aking kapatid, si Eric [Quizon] kasi siya po ang nagdirek."
The film actually serves as Maricel's comeback to Regal Films after almost seven years.
Her last movie with the film outfit was the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.
During the premiere, lead stars Paolo Ballesteros and Solenn Heussaff walked together at the red carpet.
Maricel, on the other hand, was escorted by director Eric Quizon.
The two gladly took time to shake hands with some fans.
Joem Bascon, who plays the partner of Paolo's character, was all smiles when he faced the people present at the red carpet screening.
Dianne Medina was also at the premiere. The actress plays Paolo Ballesteros's sister in the movie.
Also part of the cast are child actor Marcus Cabais and Mich Liggayu, who joined their fellow cast members on stage.
