My 2 Mommies grossed P5.5 million in the box office on its opening day last May 9.

This was revealed by Regal Films through its official Instagram account. Lead star Paolo Ballesteros also posted the announcement on his IG account and wrote in the caption: "Yiiii tarush! Watch na!"

In the film, Paolo plays Mamu, a discreet gay guy, with a successful career but has not told his family about his sexuality. He is in a relationship with another guy (played by Joem Bascon).

Mamu's life changes when Monique (Solenn Heussaff), a woman he dated in the past, shows up one day and admits to him that they have a son.

Directed by Eric Quizon, My 2 Mommies was given a PG rating by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board. Regal's Mother’s Day offering also received a Grade A rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).
