The term “gaguhan” was used to describe the relationship between the main characters in Sid & Aya.
Such a relationship implies cheating or fooling around by either, or even both partners.
During the May 17 press conference of Viva Film's latest movie offering, lead stars Dingdong Dantes and Anne Curtis were asked if they experienced being in this kind of relationship before they got married.
"Nasa happy place na ako,” Anne quickly responded with a big smile.
Dingdong and Anne play Sid and Aya in the movie that has the tagline “not a love story.”
In a separate interview after the presscon, she explained that being cheated on in a relationship is one of the risks of falling in love.
“Honestly, I think part naman yun ng journey ng falling in love.
“Darating ang point talaga na kailangan mong masaktan at babangon ka rin ulit,” said Anne, who is now married to businessman-YouTube content creator Erwan Heussaff.
He said that he never experienced being cheated on in a relationship prior to his marriage to actress Marian Rivera.
Dingdong invited moviegoers to watch Sid & Aya, which will be shown in cinemas starting May 30.
Through this movie, he said viewers will learn that, “Hindi lahat ng may 'I love you' ay love story.
Directed by Irene Villamor, Sid & Aya was partly shot in Tokyo, Japan.
