Bea Alonzo's latest movie Kasal earned another achievement in terms of box-office returns.
The New York Times reported last May 29 that the movie, which also stars Paulo Avelino and Derek Ramsay, entered the Box Office Top 20 during the Memorial Day weekend at U.S. and Canadian theaters.
The Star Cinema movie placed 19th in the chart, with total earnings of $329,153 from May 25 to 28.
According to the report, it was shown in 57 locations and grossed a total amount of $329,153 (PHP 17,257,800) in one week.
Meanwhile, the Top 3 movies in the chart were (in order): Solo, Deadpool 2, and Avengers: Infinity War.
Bea happily shared the good news on her Instagram account on June 3.

Directed by Ruel Bayani, Kasal tells the story of public school teacher Lia Marquez (Bea) who is about to marry eligible bachelor Philip Cordero (Paulo), until her ex-boyfriend Wado dela Costa (Derek) comes forth to expose Philip’s secret.
Wado’s arrival rekindles his romance with Lia, which makes her doubt her feelings for Philip. As the wedding day approaches, Lia becomes unsure if she is choosing the right man to marry: torn between the man from her past and the man she's about to build a future with.
