Sid and Aya posts box-office gross of PHP74 million, says Viva Films

Anne Curtis thanked fans for supporting Sid and Aya, her first movie with Dingdong Dantes. This film is directed by Irene Villamor (center).


 

The Anne Curtis-Dingdong Dantes movie, Sid and Aya, has earned PHP74 million in the Philippine box office.

This amount was reached in a span of six days, according to an announcement made by producer Viva Films.

This figure is PHP9 million higher than the five-day gross of P65 million.

The first movie featuring ABS-CBN's Anne and GMA-7's Dingdong opened in cinemas on May 30, 2018.

Dingdong is cast as Sid, a lonely insomniac who meets Anne’s character, Aya. He hires her to accompany him during his sleepless nights.

Written and directed by Irene Villamor, Sid and Aya was graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

Through her Facebook account, Anne thanked fans who supported her movie that was produced by Viva Films and N2 Productions.

She wrote: "Best thing to wake up to! Thank you for watching! Thank you for sharing all your thoughts, your feels, your opinions...Basta! EVERYTHING!

"I know there are some who are going to watch this week pa lang, kaya GOOD LUCK!

"Hope you enjoy the rollercoaster ride that is Sid & Aya."
