Did Aiko Melendez replace Sharon Cuneta in film with Gabby Concepcion?

Aiko Melendez clarifies that the movie she will be doing with Gabby Concpecion is not the film intended for Gabby's reunion with Sharon Cuneta.

Aiko Melendez revealed that she will be doing a movie with Gabby Concepcion.

In a Facebook post earlier today, June 24, the Bagani actress shared the good news.

In the same post, Aiko clarified that this is not the film intended for Sharon Cuneta.

It may be recalled that there have been longtime plans for a reunion movie for the ShaGab love team.

However, all these plans did not push through.

Aiko wrote in her post, "Yes, i have an offer to do a movie with Gabby Concepcion. Read the script already. International film company... But nothing is definite yet..

"But if this pushes through, no truth to the rumor that this was the same film that he was supposed to do with ms Sharon Cuneta...

"Iba po to... I am also one of those people who are looking forward for their reunion movie pero hindi po tng project na gagawin po namen if ever Kaya wag po kayo magalit hihi"

According to Aiko, the upcoming film will be helmed by Korean producers.

She disclosed in a message sent to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that her inclusion in the movie is still under negotiation, and she has yet to sign a contract.

If she pushes through with the movie, filming will begin on August in Korea.

Aiko said that she's excited to do a movie with Gabby, who also played her leading man in the movies Ika-Labing Isang Utos: Mahalin Mo Asawa Mo (1994) and Sgt. Gabo Boga (1990).
