Kevin Sagra said that there was no awkwardness between him and Joel Lamangan while doing their daring scene, which Direk Joel described as "simulation of bl*wj*b."

According to GMA-7 actor Kevin Sagra, he did not have any qualms about doing a sensitive scene with actor-director Joel Lamangan in the Cinemalaya 2018 movie School Service.

Direk Joel previously mentioned in interviews that his scene with Kevin will show a "simulation of bl*wj*b."

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other reporters, the One Up member said he was assured that the scene was done in good taste.

He said, "Ako kasi naniniwala naman ako sa pagiging professional nila, sa mga staff do’n na hindi nila ako pababayaan.

"Kaya ayon, naging successful naman. Hindi naman siya yung tipong kabastos-bastos. Art, artsy naman."

However, he admitted that he felt pressured while doing the scene since he was sharing the screen with veteran performer Direk Joel.

"Siyempre, kasi noong una pa lang na-starstruck na ako sa mga cast doon kasi first ever movie ko.

"Ayun, parang naging… noong una na-pressure ako kasi Direk Joel yung ka-esksena ko. Hindi siya director doon, isa siyang actor doon.

"Naging masaya naman yung set. Hindi naman mabigat masyado na… magaan naman si Direk Joel.

"Parang iga-guide ka naman niya kung anong gagawin mo. Okay naman."

Was there awkwardness between the two of them?

"Wala, hindi naman kasi sobrang malaswa yon. Basta abangan niyo na lang. Maganda yun [movie]."

How long did it take for them to shoot the sensitive scene?

"Mga dalawang take yon.

"Medyo matagal. Mga third day yata, pang-third day na shooting, I think."

Kevin is aware that GMA-7 actor Kristoffer Martin was the first choice to do his role in the series.

He said about this, "Sabi nga nila, siguro busy si Kristoffer o may ginagawa siyang iba kaya, siguro blessing naman na sa akin napunta.

"Choosy pa ba ako? Hahaha! Siguro, yun yung way para mag-start."

After doing this Cinemalaya entry, the 23-year-old Starstruck graduate said that he's looking forward to doing more indie films in the future.

"Oo naman. Gusto ko nga yung nasa yung field na 'yon is acting talaga na parang reality talaga na nangyayari, ganoon, in real life."

PEP.ph spoke to Kevin during the One Up concert media conference yesterday, July 11, at Puradak Chicken, Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

The One Up boyband is set to headline their own concert titled All In One Up on August 24 at the Skydome.
