Khalil Ramos says his interest in working behind the camera started when, "I became very curious as an actor. When I'm on the set, hindi lang ako yung artistang papasok, 'tapos gagawin yung eksena, pupunta sa standby area."

Ang sabi ng 22-year-old Star Magic talent, "I had this phase in my life when I wanted to find my place talaga here in this industry—kung saan ba dapat talaga ako, saan ba ako patungo, ano ba talaga ang gusto ko.

“I found it myself that my inclination is actually telling stories through different medium—photo, videos, basta visual.

“Naisip ko na I’m here na and I was able to learn the ropes naman through working on the set as an actor.

“I became very curious as an actor.

“When I’m on the set, hindi lang ako yung artistang papasok, ‘tapos gagawin yung eksena, pupunta sa standby area.

“I usually meddle with the team.

Aniya, “I was inspired kasi grabe yung movement towards producing better quality film so that we can enter world stage and bring back Philippines on the map of entertainment and movie productions.

“I was inspired din, I worked with Direk Erik and Direk Paul, parehas ang sinasabi, ang general idea is sumama ka sa movement.”

ACTING COMES FIRST

“Right now, I’m currently working on two films as an actor,” sabi ni Khalil.

“Siyempre, I don’t wanna be a jack of all trades, master of none.

“Pero right now, my expertise is naka-lean towards acting pa rin since I’m just learning pa lang the different ways of filmmaking.

“I don’t know yet if I want to be a director or a director of photography, hindi ko pa alam.

“I just enjoy working on the set. I work as a producer, as a director, as an [assistant director], iba-iba na lang muna.”

“Testing-testing muna. Pero as of now, mas malamang talaga ang acting. I’m still gonna continue doing it.”
