Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan considers the appearance of Kris Aquino as a "highlight" of the upcoming Hollywood movie.
Kwan talked about Kris in the Hollywood adaptation during a recent interview with Milken Institute's Curtis Chin. The host described Kris as a "super celeb interviewer" and "media star."
When Chin asked Kwan about Kris, the author of the best-selling novel confirmed:
"She's definitely in the movie. She's a highlight of the movie, for me."
Chin predicted that Kwan's statement will "go viral in the Philippines."
Kwan laughed as he said, "I hope so. She doesn't need my help, though.
"Everything she does gets viral."
Through her Instagram account, Kris thanked Kevin who described Filipino fans in the Philippines as "superfans."
Kris, who will play Princess Intan in Crazy Rich Asians, pointed out that this is the reason why she didn't mind even when people taunted her and belittled her role in the Hollywood movie.
