Richard Gomez believes that the chemistry between him and Sharon Cuneta will still be seen in their upcoming movie Three Words to Forever.
This is even though they have not worked with each other for the past 15 years. The Sharon-Richard love team was last seen in the 2003 VIVA Films movie Walang Kapalit.
Richard told Star Cinema during the film's August 26 story conference, "Last time na gumawa kami ng movie together was 15 years ago. So we’re both excited with this film.
"Siguro, I don’t know where we’ll pick up ourselves, siguro it began today.
"We’ll find out in the coming days, we’ll be seeing each other, we’ll be collaborating, we’ll see. I’m sure the chemistry is still there."
"I'm glad that Star Cinema picked up the love team again."
Richard then gave a few details about Three Words to Forever.
"It’s a family love story. It’s about three generations of the same family.
"Siyempre, may kanya-kanyang challenges, may problema na sino-solve. But basically it’s the reunion that’s really exciting."
SHARON ON RICHARD.
In a separate Star Cinema interview, Sharon admits she feels bit nervous about working with Richard again.
This is because of the fact that they have not worked together for a long time.
She said, "Yun ang nine-nerbiyos ako ng konti.
"Although we’re still the same people, we’re also different in a lot of ways.
"Tapos mayor na siya, so many things have happened in our lives.
"I don’t know if it’s the Richard I know, and he’s not sure siguro if it’s the Sharon he knows."
Richard butted in and told Sharon, "Ganito pa rin ako, walang pinagkaiba."
Sharon then quipped, "Hindi, meron. Size!"
The Megastar continued, "Iba na rin yung age namin so I don’t know how it is to be working with him everyday again.
"Hindi ko alam kung matutuwa kami o magkakainisan.
"Never naman kami nagkainisan so it’s exciting at the same time medyo nakaka-nerbiyos."
ON KATHRYN BERNARDO.
Also part of the Three Words to Forever is ABS-CBN actress Kathryn Bernardo.
Richard is happy to work again with Kathryn. The two were part of the movie She's Dating the Gangster in 2014.
He said, "Mga young stars, sila Kathryn, they observe a lot of things coming from people like us na mahaba na ang experience sa showbiz.
"But these people are very good, it’s nice to work with good people and ako I've worked with Kathryn for She's Dating the Gangster so more or less medyo magkakilala na kami."
Same goes for Sharon, who has heard a lot of good words about Kathryn.
"I think it’s not only what she can learn from us, it’s also what we can learn from her generation.
"I’m excited to work with young people na she’s a big star in her own right and according to the people in Star Cinema including Direk and the producers, sila Inang, mahal na mahal nila sila Daniel at Kathryn kasi napakababait na mga bata.
"That’s important to me, ayoko ng may katrabahong maarte, magwawalk out ako!
"Oo talaga, hindi ko itutuloy yung movie, e, hindi ganun si Kathryn.
"So I’m very excited, she seems like a very sweet girl and noong sinabi nilang si Kathryn, I’m very excited. Okay ba? Oo naman!"
The ShaChard movie will be helmed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
A playdate has yet to be announced.
