Christian Bables and Elora Espano are cast as a couple in the Chito Roño film Signal Rock.
As Intoy, Christian's character decides to help his sister in Finland win a child custody battle. Elora is cast as Rachel, the girlfriend of Intoy.
Signal Rock is one of the 8 official entries chosen by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) to be part of the 2018 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP).
Now on its second year, the nationwide week-long celebration is running until August 21 in cinemas nationwide.
A previous report published on PEP Alerts indicated that the butt exposure scene of Christian was removed from the final cut of the movie.
"Nanghinayang ba ako nung tinanggal ang butt exposure ko?
"Oo, sayang! Sayang yung butt exposure kasi umarte rin yung butt" quipped Christian in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the PEP Facebook Live Session held recently at the Summitmedia office in Mandaluyong.
"Hindi nakita ang butt ko dito pero alam kong may purpose kaya tinanggal.
"I guess I will have to leave it to Direk Chito. Ang balita ko, may plano siyang ipalabas sa international screenings so mga foreigners ang market ng aking butt."
Christian then said about his love scene with Elora, "Pumping scene? Merong umaatikabong pumping scene!
"I just pumped it! Joke lang!
"Kung paano siya ginagawa ng normal na tao, yun lang."
Was it awkward for them to shoot the pumping scene?
"Hindi naman, kahit naka-plaster kami pareho.
"Hindi awkward kahit maraming tao kasi once in the moment ka, hindi mo na mapapansin ang ibang tao, e.
"Nagkakaroon na ng wall. It's like only the two of you doing that stuff."
In a separate interview with Elora, she also talked about her pumping scene with Christian in Signal Rock.
"Lagi namang mahirap ang love scene dahil naging comfortable na kami sa isa't isa, sabi namin, sige gawin natin ito for Direk Chito.
"Ginawa sa isang cheap motel. Makikita niyo pag napanood niyo."
Since this was the first time that Christian did a love scene, Elora helped him in her own way.
"In a way, parang ako yung nag-guide sa kanya. Pero kasi si Christian, very open siya na tao saka very honest siya if he needs help. Give and take ang nangyari.
"Noong una, kinakabahan pero nung nandun na kami sa cheap motel, sabi ni Christian, 'Game na!'"
Elora also revealed that she always uses plaster before doing sex scenes with her partners.
"Sa mga love scenes ko before, kadalasan may plaster. Ang hindi lang nag-plaster one time si Kuya KK [Kristoffer King] para sa movie na Purgatoryo [2016]."
The 26-year-old actress said she doesn't mind shooting sensitive scenes for her craft.
"Ako deadma lang. Eksena, e. Ako, gagawin ko ang trabaho ko.
"Ako, nagpa-plaster ako lagi."
When shooting intimate scenes, Elora says she prefers not to have breast exposure.
"Ngayon kasi I'm with IdeaFirst. As much as possible, they try to ask directors or people I work with na wala muna or minimal muna kasi I'm trying to change a certain image.
"Para mas seryosohin naman ako."
Aisde from having intimate scenes with Kristoffer in Purgatoryo (2016), Elora has shot a sex scene with JM de Guzman in Tandem (2015). She also took part in an orgy scene in Ninja Party (2015) and did a rape scene in Citizen Jake (2018).
Does she feel that she has been typecast into doing sexy roles in indie films?
"In a way pero as of last year, medyo may variety naman. Kasi naging Santa pa nga ako [sa Seklusyon] at sana hindi naman. Yung Baconaua [2017], wala namang sex scene.
"Sana may serious roles na hindi lang siya seseryosohin dahil may nudity."
She then reminisced about doing her sex scene with JM de Guzman for the indie film Tandem.
"Yung love scene ko with JM, medyo brutal yung nasa script at wala namang love dun. Gustong maging physical ng director so may rehearsal with clothes on para makita yung movement.
"Pag alam na ng camera yung movement, then we do the scene."
