Kim Chiu confirms that she was asked to vacate her seat when she attended the premiere night of Miss Granny.
The ABS-CBN actress attended the red-carpet screening last August 20 at Trinoma to show support for her former partner Xian Lim. He is one of the lead stars of the film along with James Reid and Sarah Geronimo.
Before the screening, a female ticketholder approached Kim and asked her to transfer because the actress was supposedly sitting in her seat.
Kim looked at Xian who was seated in the row in front of her.
The Kapamilya actress and her companions stood up and moved to a different area.
Kim posted the link of an ABS-CBN News article that reported on the incident and explained that the ticketholder simply followed the seat number assigned to her, which is why the actress agreed to vacate her seat. Kim wrote in her Twitter account:
"yes this is true, pinaalis kami, but all went well naman... ok lang yun.. tama naman si ate/kuya may seat numb naman talaga siya. kaya kami nalang lumipat... lets talk about how good the movie is not this very small incident, nothing biggy. parehas naman po kami nakanood:)"
