Nilinaw ni Liza Soberano na hindi ang kanyang finger surgery ang dahilan kung bakit naantala ang shooting ng pelikulang Darna.
Kasunod ito ng balitang lumabas na mauuna nilang gawin ni Enrique Gil ang pelikulang pagtatambalan nilang muli na ipo-produce ng Black Sheep, at magpapaopera din muna ng daliri ang dalaga dahil na-injure ito sa taping ng Bagani.
"I had to get it fixed lang to just to make it more mobile," sabi ni Liza. "Di naman nag-stop ang Darna because of my finger. I think they are adjusting the script and there are few other things that are adjusting.
"We are just waiting for the adjustments and I think they are giving the time to focus on this movie first. As soon as we finish with this movie, babalik na kami."
Nakapanayam ni Liza sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at Cinema News si Liza sa Star Magic giving back sa Cranio Facial Foundation.
Muli ay nagpasalamat si Liza sa mga papuri sa kanya ng nag-resign na direktor ng Darna na si Direk Erik Matti.
"I'm really happy naman that we were able to part ways properly," pagtukoy ni Liza kay Direk Erik.
"He has my respect and he respects me as well and looking toward the project itself. For him to go out of his way and coordinate a dinner with me means a lot na gusto niyang magpaalam nang maayos and I really appreciated that."
Nang kumustahin naman namin kung nagkita at nakapag-meeting na ba sila ng pumalit ditong direktor na si Direk Jerrrold Tarog, inamin sa amin ng aktres na di pa sila nagkikita.
"Hindi pa kami nagmi-meet actually, di nagkakatugma ang schedules namin but hopefully soon magmi-meet din kami."
Excited naman si Liza sa pagtatambal nilang muli ni Enrique, at ayon sa aktres ay mas mature na ang mga karakter na gagampanan nila sa bagong pelikula na ididirehe ni Antoinette Jadaone.
"I'm really excited to do this movie with Quen [Enrique's nickname] kasi it's been a while since we have a comeback on the big screen so I'm very excited for that.
"Sa story naman ang mase-share ko lang, I'm going to be an Art Studies major at UP Diliman and my character is very passionate, very driven, very ambitious.
"After eight years, my character and his character meet again and makikita natin if I'm still the person I was when I was still in my college days and if he has change in any way."
Patuloy ni Liza, "Yeah, matured in terms of like I guess the way we speak, how we carry ourselves. I'm going to be portraying a role that is older than who I really am so medyo mahirap on my part.
"Si Quen I guess he's going to be playing a character at his age bracket so medyo kaya na niya. The task for me is to learn how to gain that sense of maturity."
Kung nung nakaraang taon ay sa Paris nagdiwang ng Pasko sina Enrique at Liza, ngayong taon naman ay ipagdiriwang nila ito America kasama ang pamilya ni Liza.
"Yes, sa U.S. with my family now. Kasama siya and his family. I've been looking forward to this trip for a while now. Ako talaga nag-aasikaso nung trip so ready for all my hard work to pay off, all the bookings and everything."
Masayang-masaya naman ang aktres na naging bahagi siya ng giving back project ng Star Magic kung saan ang binigyan nila ng regalo ay ang mga batang may bingot o harelipped.
Aniya, "I'm really happy about it because it's something that I do on my own every year, and it's my first time being with my Star Magic family.
"Parang doble ng saya and then I'm really happy 'cause usually when I do charity work, it's with the orphans, it's my first time doing it with kids who have parents.
"I'm really happy seeing the reactions of parents as well. Siyempre, iba yung nakikita nating saya ng magulang 'pag nakikita nilang masaya ang mga anak nila. That's my favorite part of it."
