Committed and smart actors.

“Every actor is different, pero it’s always in the context of the movie.

“Parang every movie requires a different creative process. The way I work in every movie, parang iba yung creative process, so, parang dito, since first time ko silang makatrabaho, iba yung naging process ko.

“So, it’s also a different story kasi it’s about nga how my college was," sagot ng direktor na nagtapos ng kursong Film and Audio Visual Communication sa University of the Philippines Diliman.

And it’s a movie situated in UP kahit hindi taga-UP si Liza.

Kabilang sa mga love teams na idinirek ni Tonet ay sina James Reid at Nadine Luste (Never Not Love You, 2018), Joshua Garcia at Julia Barretto (Love You To The Stars and Back, 2017), at Angelica Panganiban at JM de Guzman (That Thing Called Tadhana, 2014).

IMPRESSED BY LIZQUEN

“First time kong maka-work si Liza and si Enrique, so, parang before mag-start yung movie, pinanood ko yung mga pelikula nila ulit, although nanonood talaga ako.

“Napanood ko naman talaga lahat ng pelikula nila, kahit as a movie fan.

“Pero nung nakatrabaho ko na sila, nakakausap ko na sila, I found out they are very smart actors, really smart.

“You know it when they ask their questions on how they should do their scenes.

“Si Liza and si Enrique were really very committed to playing Christine and Raf from the very start,” kwento ng director.

“Even before we started shooting kasi coming to this film, gusto ko lang talaga ikwento yung pelikula, pero when we started working in the workshops and auditions, I was really impressed how committed they were to their characters.

Kwento pa ng direktor, “Kahit nung before we left for New York, we would leave at 9:00 sa gabi, pero gusto pa nilang mag-workshop ng 10:00 AM ng araw na 'yon.
