An indie film tackling incestuous and homosexual relationships has been rated X by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board. Walang Hanggang Paalam, starring Lovi Poe, Joem Bascon, Jake Roxas and Rico Barrera has been banned from public exhibition. It was supposed to have its premiere this Sunday, February 8, but it has been cancelled because of this development.
It was also supposed to have its regular run from February 11 to 18 at Robinsons Galleria Indiesine but the filmmakers are still in the process of appealing the decision of the MTRCB.
Walang Hanggang Paalam, directed by Paolo Villaluna and Ellen Ramos, was shot in Baguio, specifically Mines View Park and Burnham Park. This is the third collaboration of Paolo Villaluna and Ellen Ramos after helming Ilusyon and Selda.
The film is about a young girl (Lovi Poe) who is torn between her love for boyfriend (played by Joem Bascon) and her affection for a much older man (portrayed by Jacky Woo). Lovi will also have love scenes in this indie film. According to her manager Leo Dominguez, this film will mark a "change of image" for the young star who will soon turn 20 years old. She will be having a birthday celebration on GMA-7's noontime show SOP this Sunday, February 8.
Walang Hanggang Paalam also features gay love scenes as well as an ejaculation scene between Jake Roxas and Rico Barrera. This is Jake's return to the limelight after appearing in the 2006 show Agawin Mo Man ang Lahat.
