Booking to premiere in UP on Feb 24

(From left) Marco Morales, Mercedes Cabral, and Emilio Garcia topbill the indie film Booking, which will have its premiere at UP Diliman on February 24.

In street slang, booking refers to the reservation of sexual partners possibly through the use of pimps.

It is also the title of an upcoming film that will depict the life of people who accept or give money in exchange for sexual favors. Titled Booking, this film has the catch phrase: "Lahat ay may presyong katapat, handa ka bang kumagat?"

Marco Morales, who was last seen conducting frontal nudity in Butas, will again be baring his well-toned body in this indie film directed by Joven Tan. The former SOP Showboys member will play a struggling actor who is desperate to succeed in life.

This gay drama also stars award-winning actors such as Emilio Garcia, Snooky Serna and Ms. Anita Linda.

Also in the cast are Mercedes Cabral (Serbis), Bernie Guinto and Charles Delgado.

Director Joven Tan pays homage to Lino Brocka with this film that has been dubbed as the "Gay Bona." It will be recalled that the late director Brocka helmed the 1980 film Bona starring Nora Aunor and Phillip Salvador.

Watch the director's cut of Booking this Tuesday, February 24 (7:30 pm) at U.P. Cine Adarna in the University of the Philippines-Diliman.

Booking will be shown in regular theaters on March 4.
