JP Carpio, an independent filmmaker, will be screening select films at the Kolumn Bar & Café on March 13.
The activity, which is dubbed as momentaries, will screen Bunker 0: Sumirib Plus, a short documentary about the aftermath of the oil spill disaster that struck Guimaras island on August 11, 2006. Bunker O was included in the Guimaras: Short films from the Oil Spill festival that took place in Robinsons Galleria last November 2006.
momentaries will also screen VTR, a short experimental narrative starring Tessa De Guzman. JP will also show the film Tako (Cue), which is about a group of friends who have a get-together at a house somewhere in Metro Manila. In the midst of the fun and the partying, underlying tensions rise and break out between Jimmy and Aissa during a game of billiards. The film is an episode in a future full-length film.
In addition, Rembrandt Vocalan's film Chop-Chop Modeling Agency will be screened at Kolumn Bar & Café that night. This three-minute movie was created through editing real VTR footage of ladies auditioning for a modeling agency and intertwined with scripted shots of an actor as the interviewer.
Guests can also have the chance to listen to live performances from the bands Tales of Doom, Kontraluz, Illiaster, and D'Incidentals.
