Love Online holds premiere night at SM Megamall

The romantic comedy Love Online, starring Vic Sotto and Paula Taylor, will open in cinemas nationwide (including SM theaters) starting tomorrow, August 19, 2009.

Samson and Tot are brothers whose personalities are quite the opposite. Samson (Vic) is the serious type who believes in hard work and loyalty in a romantic relationship, while Tot (Jose) is happy-go-lucky and spends time playing video games and making friends through the Internet.

It is Tot's fondness for playing the field online that caused Samson to lose his girlfriend, Cleo. Guilty for what he has done, Tot tries to find a new girlfriend for Samson and the only way he knows how: through Internet chat.

While going through the list of acquaintances he has made online, Tot stumbles upon a "Paula" an attractive Thai woman. Tot sends her Samson's picture. However, the "Paula" seen online, in truth is Bunny (Manilyn Reynes) who is the real Paula's frumpy best friend. Bunny uses Paula's pictures to attract chatmates.

When Samson discovered that Tot has fielded his (Samson's) picture to Paula, he orders Tot to not only tell her the truth, but to arrange a meeting with her with Samson in tow.

Samson fell in love with Paula when they met. Tot got so enraged with his brother for this, that he used a magic spell taught to them by their mother, Delilah (Gina Pareño).

Will true love transcend all—including this magic spell?

Directed by Tony Y. Reyes, LOL (Love OnLine) is produced by M-Zet Productions of Vic Sotto, APT Entertainment of Antonio P. Tuviera and OctoArts Films of Orly Ilacad. Other members of the cast are Dominic Roco, Ricky Davao and Leo Martinez.

LOL (Love Online) is showing starting tomorrow, August 19, in all SM and other cinemas nationwide.
