Fidel, starring Lance Raymundo (in photo), is one of the official selections for the first Filipino International Film Festival Los Angeles (FIFFLA). Directed by Mark Shandii Bacolod, this indie film tells the story of an OFW who was raped by his Arab employer and sentenced to death.

I'm so happy and I feelhonored by this new development sa Fidel.

From introducing to supporttapos ngayon lead role na. At saka dahil first venture ito ngPiperstorm Pictures kaya talagang pinulido nila," ani Lance.

"Well,it's a given factor and that's what the movie is about, male rape. Butof course, there are other elements na mapapanood sa movie like yungimportance ng family, yung value ng love at human rights. There arealso other values and lessons na mapupulot ang mga tao rito. The goodpart about that is nagiging aware din yung mga tao sa ganitong klasengproblema because yung Fidel is based on true-to-life incidents. Hindilang isa, kundi apat o limang istorya na pinagsama as one.

"Nahirapanako sa pag-transform ng sarili ko because this is my first movie ngathat I ever shot. Siyempre, sanay ako sa normal na pamumuhay ko, di ba?Parang yung transformation na ganun without workshop is the biggestchallenge for me. Mabigat talaga for a first role. Yung mga rape andthe rest is secodary kasi once na nasa character ka na, it will not behard anymore. And of course, nandiyan si Direk Shandii to guide me, aswell as my manager Charlotte [Dianco], who is also the writer andproducer of Fidel."

"I'mexpecting for my self as an actor that I grow and get better rolesafter this. I hope people from the industry will see my depth as anactor. Hopefully, this will be the start of something big for me interms of my acting career. And also for my manager Charlotte, as thewriter of Fidel, I know this is her baby also. I know that after peoplesee this, mas marami pa siyang kuwentong susulatin. And of course, moreprojects also for Direk Shandii."

Kabilangdin sa cast ng Fidel sina Andrea del Rosario, Maria Isabel Lopez,Snooky Serna, Von Arroyo, Jao Mapa, RJ Revilla, Roeder, Mosang, RRHerrera, Fonz Deza, Marife Necesito, Nonoy Froilan at John Hall, nagumanap bilang among Arabo na nang-rape kay Fidel.
