First Grand Teen Questor of Star Circle Quest Hero Angeles presents his indie film Stockroom to the public just in time for Labor Day.
The controversial TV-movie actor will be present during the premiere of this digital film, which he himself wrote, directed and starred in. His directorial debut will take place at IndieSine in Robinsons Galleria tomorrow, May 1.
The homemade film Stockroom is a horror film that
injects the social and economic crisis of the Philippines in the medium as well
as the culture of the Filipinos when it comes to giving respect to the past.
The 22-year old filmmaker plays an unemployed English
teacher (Samio) who is left at home with his niece Naya (Maira Angela). By
accident, they disturb an element of the past while inside a stockroom. This
incident sparks the beginning of the spirits' intrusion into their lives. Samio
and Naya find themselves trapped in the past, present and future of other
dimensions while the angry spirits take revenge on them. As the spirits
continue to haunt them in their dreams as well as in reality, there seems to be
no way out for Samio and Naya.
Completing the cast are Maria Teresa, Denzel Allen, Dianne Mae, Enteng Batacan, Caye Brivergo, Michael Chua and Cheche. The film's music is a collaboration of local and foreign indie talents, CrossedFingers, Dann McEachern, and Mark Stevens.
Stockroom will have its advance screening on May 1, at 7 p.m. at Indie Sine (Cinema 8) in Robinsons Galleria. The film is produced by TWO LIGHTS Productions and presented by FAVOLA tourism shirts. This is also a joint project of brothers Henry and Hero Angeles with the mission to create a movie that can inspire the youth and other artists.
