Sam Milby says love team with Anne Curtis has yet to be proven in the box-office

"I’ve been told iba [ang TV show] kasi una, libre yun and you don’t have to pay for it to watch it. Pero itong movie, it’s different because people will have to buy tickets. [Our loveteam] hasn’t been proven yet kasi first movie namin so kinakabahan. But I feel confident kasi grabe ang mga supporters namin," said Sam Milby about his first movie with Anne Curtis.

Even though Sam Milby won’t be in the Philippines for the opening of his latest movie Babe I Love You, the actor is excited and nervous for his first team-up with Anne Curtis on the big screen.

Sam is in the United States to perform for a series of Heartthrobs concerts with Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz, Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu and Pokwang. In an interview with the matinee idol during the March 24 celebrity bar night of Babe I Love You, Sam said that he believes that their Star Cinema film will do well in the box-office because of the support of his fans.

"Kinakabahan ako kasi first movie namin [ni Anne] and we’re coming from a successful teleserye on TV [referring to Dyosa]. But I’ve been told iba yun kasi una, libre yun and you don’t have to pay for it to watch it. Pero itong movie, it’s different because people will have to buy tickets. [Our loveteam] hasn’t been proven yet kasi first movie namin so kinakabahan. But I feel confident kasi grabe ang mga supporters namin," said Sam gratefully. "Walang isang araw na hindi sila pumunta sa set. Around 15 sila na pumupunta. Ever since Maging Sino Ka Man, nandiyan ang mga supporters namin so sobrang thankful."

Sam has been vocal in saying that he and Anne sometimes had petty fights while shooting this movie. When asked how he makes peace with his co-star, he disclosed, "Minsan ako [ang nag-initiate ng peace] or minsan si Direk Mae [Cruz]. Ayaw niya ma-apektuhan ang movie kaya kinausap niya kami."

As for Anne, she said that they have put their quarrels behind them. ""I think it’s safe to say that Sam and I are okay. Hindi na kami magkaaway. Finally nalagpasan na namin yung silent war namin. It’s a clean slate and what matters talaga is that we’re starting anew."

Later that night Sam serenaded Anne on stage by singing "Maging Sino Ka Man." (CLICK HERE to view the video of their performance)

The actress revealed that her ex-boyfriend was very concerned for her that night, which could be considered as Anne’s first public appearance after the controversial wardrobe malfunction that took place in the Boracay episode of ASAP XV.

"He was sweet to me kanina. He’s like, ’You look stressed. Are you okay?’ And he said that I look beautiful tonight," said Anne.

After working on their movie Babe, I Love You, Sam and Anne will be paired with other stars for future projects.

Anne said, "Parehas kaming back to work ng bongga. If anything, yung alis niya yung pahinga niya and ako yung very short stint ng Holy Week. Ang tagal ko nawala sa Showtime so babawi muna ako dun. Na-miss ko talaga mag-host kasama sina Vhong [Navarro]."

That night, Showtime co-host Teddy Corpuz, resident judge Vice Ganda and guest judge Gladys Reyes, were present at Guilly’s Tomas Morato to show their support for Anne.

In the past, Anne mentioned that she had plans to go to Brazil but she postponed it because of her heavy workload. "Baka di matuloy this year dahil sa work. Sa Holy Week nga Monday, Tuesday may shooting ako for other projects. Pero at least free ako ng Friday, Saturday, Sunday so sana makapagbakasyon din ako nun."

Babe I Love You, the Star Cinema film directed by Mae Cruz, will open in cinemas nationwide starting April 3, 2010.
