Coco Martin on love scene with Erich Gonzales: "May tiwala naman siya sa akin."

The docu-film Noy, starring Coco Martin and Erich Gonzales, will open in cinemas by June 2, 2010. This is the first movie that Coco co-directed and co-produced.

Coco Martin was filled with happiness for the success of the premiere night of Noy, the film which he himself co-directed and co-produced aside from serving as the lead actor of the docu-film.

Kahit papaano, may na-contribute ako sa paggawa ng pelikula," said Coco during the May 28 screening of Noy held at Cinema 3 of Rockwell Power Plant Mall in Makati City.

How was it like working with Erich Gonzales for this docu-film? "Si Erich kasi artist. Willing kahit ano...wala siyang limitations.

Did he feel awkward while shooting the love scene with Erich?

First time namin mag-shoot ng ganung eksena.

Is he wary of the reactions of fans of Erich and Enchong Dee?

Coco then described how he came up with the idea of creating the docu-film Noy.

As a result, Coco joined the Liberal Party standard bearer as he campaigned in 20 provinces in a span of six months. In this docu-film, Coco plays Noy, a young man who poses as a journalist commissioned to create a documentary following the campaign trail of Senator Noynoy Aquino. The film shows footage directed by Coco as well as dramatic scenes featuring Noy and his relationships with his family and his love interest Divine (Erich Gonzales).

Even though he was busy taping episodes for his ABS-CBN primetime series Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, the actor managed to find the time join the out-of-town campaign sorties of Senator Noynoy.

Given his popularity as a mainstream actor, it’s inevitable that people would fawn over Coco as he went about his duties as a journalist. Nahinto yung Mass. Actually, pinagalitan ako tapos pinalabas ako [laughs]."

ACTOR-TURNED-PRODUCER/DIRECTOR. PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Coco which he found more challenging: acting or directing. The actor answered by saying, "Pareho ko pong nae-enjoy, e.

Coco also recalled how he initially financed this docu-film.

How did he convince other mainstream stars to appear in this film even though it does not have a big budget? "Dun nga ako natutuwa at sobrang thankful ako.

When asked about his future projects, Coco revealed, "Baka magkasama kami ni Bea Alonzo bilang magkapatid.

This Star Cinema movie titled Sa ’Yo Lamang will be helmed by veteran director Laurice Guillen.

The actor also admitted that he has already invested in an apartment and several tricycles. He is also saving up for a new house.
