The contemporary remake of the ’80s cult classic Temptation Island promises hilarious and sexy antics from diverse characters all struggling to survive on a desert island.

It tells the story of four ladies joining a model search for the new face of "Manila Sunshine," the brand name of a fictitious sunblock. Unfortunately, the cruise ship carrying the four finalists catches fire and everyone scrambles for their lives. As a result, four ladies together with a maid, a gay millionaire, and three hunky men, are marooned in a desert island.

This movie features GMA-7’s prime actresses as the four finalists of the model search. These are Marian Rivera as Cristina, the con-artist; Lovi Poe as Serafina, the brat; Solenn Heussaff as Pura, the social climber; and Heart Evangelista as Virginia, the virgin.

To prepare for their roles, these modern day Temptation Island characters took their role to heart. "Ako I watched it (the original Temptation Island) like ten times," Solenn shared during the press conference of the movie.

Even putting a personal touch to the original, Marian added, "binigyan ako ni Popoy ng tatlong araw para pag-aralan ang character na ito ginaya ko talaga pero sa paraan ni Marian."

John "Sweet" Lapus who plays the role of Joshua, a multi-millionaire cosmopolitan gay, muses, "Ang pinagkaiba lang po sa original, ang look ng mga baklang alta de sociedad nung mga panahon na yon sa ngayon, and this time for the remake, Direk and I opted to have a vision pegged to make Joshua more caring, more symphathetic."

Rufa Mae points out that this time her character Nympha, gets more attention, "Nadagdagan ako ng isang production number ngayon."

She shares her character has no leading man but engages in a love-hate relationship with a woman.

Solenn expresses her excitement and anxiety of starring in a movie opposite the Kapuso Network’s prime actresses, "Siyempre honored ako and I’m scared also kasi they’ve been long in the business." The former castaway of Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Edition plays the spoiled social climber, "social climber ako and medyo bratty always complaining."

Joining the sizzling ladies on the deserted island are hunky actors Aljur Abrenica, Tom Rodriguez, and Mikael Daez.

Tom plays the role of Umberto, a gorgeous waiter who falls for the con artist, Cristina. "Isa po ako sa mga napakaraming probisyanong waiter na either pinalad o minalas na makasama sa ship wreck."

On the other hand, Mikael Daez plays the role of Ricardo, the current boyfriend of Joshua and soon-to-be love interest of Pura. "Probinsyano din ako pero ako taga-Luzon. Ako yung partner-boyfriend ni Sweet, Joshua."

To finish the list is Aljur Abrenica cast as Alfred, Virginia’s love interest.

Viewers should also expect the cameo roles of some of the original cast members, "yung dating characters nag-cameo para sa amin," assures Marian Rivera.

Deborah Sun, the actress who played the maid in the original movie, is now cast as the mother of Solenn’s character Pura.
