Sir Elton John will bring his Rocket Man Tour to Manila this December




With a career spanning over five decades, singer/songwriter, Sir Elton John is all set to blaze Asia's concert scene with his unique brand of music.


Fresh from a memorable and highly acclaimed performance at The Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert at the Buckingham Palace, the music icon has embarked with his Elton John and Band - 40th anniversary of the Rocket Man Tour.


"Rocket Man" was one of Elton's highest-charting songs on record charts. The song remained on top of the U.K. charts for 13 weeks and in the U.S. Billboard chart for 15 weeks.
Born Reginald Kenneth Dwight, Sir Elton John's rise from a pub pianist to one of the top-selling solo artists of all time has been nothing short of phenomenal.


Sir Elton has notched 35 gold and 25 platinum albums as well as 29 consecutive U.S. Top 40 hits. He has sold more than 250 million records worldwide and holds the record for the biggest selling single of all time, "Candle in the Wind '97," which sold over 33 million copies. Since his career began in 1969, Elton has played in over 3,500 concerts worldwide.


Sir Elton John will perform in Manila's concert scene for the very first time on December 8, 2012 for a one-night-only performance at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
