As his way of offering something new to Filipinoconcert goers, Christian Bautista makes use of a state-of-the-art "Watchout"widescreen, making him the first singer to use this technology locally.

Christian Inspired, Christian's major solo concert atCuneta Astrodome on October 6, will make use of the "Watchout" widescreen forthe very first time in a local live concert.

Asia's Pop Idol explains why he chose to use this massivescreen for his upcoming concert. "As a stage performer, ang gusto ko lagi akongnakikipag- usap sa mga audience...[yung] lagi akong nakaka-connect sa audience. Its easy if you're in a bar kasi lahat makikita mo, e. But what if it's CunetaAstrdome with 8,000 people? How do you do that? You need to magnify yourself, you need a huge screen para makita ka nila lahat so that's what I'm gonna do."

"Watchout" is amulti-display production and presentation system. It measures 9 x 42 feet andcombines multiple projectors and network technologies to create breathtakingpresentations.

Christian says, "Excited ako kung ano yung pwede namingipalabas sa screen na yun and how we can magnify and project all the images andthe songs. Every song will have something special, every line, every spiel."

The "Watchout" will surely contribute a lot to the exciting look ofChristian's concert. "With this system, we are only limited by our creativity, and imagination," says Christian. Hisconcert's treats do not end there. "I think people have yet to witness whatreal inspiration is all about. I will give my very best for everyone to feelthat overflow," he reveals.

Other concerts are lined up this coming month—Mark Bautista's Simply Irresistible on October 13 at the Aliw Theaterand Erik Santos at the Araneta Coliseum on October 19. Is he threatened by thestiff competition?

"Kinakabahan, kasi... October has a lot ofconcerts happening so I'm just glad na in a way ako yung nauuna sa October 6,"says Christian.

How does he feel about having the same concert date as BillyCrawford?

"Magkaiba naman [kami] siyempre. Ganito lang yun, if youwant a dance concert, you go with his concert. If you want a non-dance concert, you go with my show.

"Nag-uusap nga kami [ni Billy] with Tita Virgie Ramos. Sabiko, ‘Uy, paano ‘yan, magkasabay yung concert natin.' Sabi namin, ‘Ah, ganito nalang...Isa sa atin sa hapon na lang mag-concert tapos yung isa sa gabi para lahatmakapunta.' Tawanan lang kami. We are aware of that pero wala tayong magagawa,"he narrates.

Joining Christian in this groundbreaking concert are fellow ASAP'07 mainstays Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby as special guests, with the specialparticipation of Kuh Ledesma, Joni Villanueva, Tricia Amper Jimenez, SamConcepcion and Mr. Gary Valenciano. Mel Villena is the musical director.
