Jed Madela to receive Hall of Fame award from World Championships of Performing Arts

Jed Madela will be in Los Angeles in July 2013 to personally receive his Hall of Fame award at the 17th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA).


Jed Madela will be in Los Angeles this coming July to personally receive his Hall of Fame award at the 17th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA).

In 2005, Jed was the first Filipino who won as grand champion in WCOPA.

This 2013, he will join other Hall of Famers such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dionne Warwick, and Liza Minelli.

JED AS WCOPA HALL OF FAMER. The Filipino singer did not expect that he would become part of WCOPA’s Hall of Fame.

Jed recalled, “I was actually surprised when I heard the news last December.


“I thought parang recognition lang siya but when they explained to me kung sino yung mga kasama ko dun like sila Liza Minelli, Arnold Schwarzenegger…


“Wow! Bakit ako?

“So I asked the head of World Championships so sabi nila, ‘It doesn’t matter where you’re big, even if you are just popular in your country as long as you made a big impact when it comes to your chosen field…’ which is singing for me.
