New wave bands Modern English and The Alarm will perform in Manila on May 3



After persistent clamor from new wave fanatics in the Philippines, it can be said that the long wait is over: two of the UK’s biggest new wave bands—Modern English and The Alarm—are set to do a concert in Manila on May 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.

Modern English is best known for their hits "I Melt With You," "Hands Across The Sea" and Ink And Paper."

Meanwhile, The Alarm is part of an early-80 waves of bands that include The Call, Big Country and The Waterboys. The group is best known for songs such as "Where Were You Hiding When The Storm Broke?" "The Chant (Has Just Began)" and the British Top 40 Hit, "Absolute Reality."

The back-to-back concert is presented in cooperation with Novuhair Topical Scalp Lotion - Nature’s Answer to Hair Loss, Midas Hotel & Casino, ABS-CBN, ASAP 18, and DMC Philippines.
