"That one was my first heartbreak po," sagot ng 21-year-old actress.

Isinulat raw niya ang kanta noong 2016, at sa panahong iyon siya ay "fresh from a heartache."

Sa pagpapatuloy niya, “I wrote ‘Paano’ because I had no other way and place to channel my emotions. I kept it with me for so long until I was ready to share my pain."

THE LAST TIME SOMEONE BROKE HER HEART

“...huling nakaranas was siguro, it was inside the PBB house.”

Paglinaw ni Alexa, "Not naman heartbreak talaga, but may napagdaanan din inside that made me sad, lovewise.”

“I’m a strong girl so when I choose to move on, I really move on. And I always try to be the better person na lang in all situations.

“So, in that matter, okay naman kami nung tao. We talked it out, we were able to settle everything, and we tried to work it out here sa outside world. So all is good naman."

We wanted it to come organically.

“So nalagpasan naman, kasi we had really good support system inside the house.

“Talagang tinulungan din nila ako and, of course, music helped me, I was able to write songs about the situation so that’s where I channeled all my emotions talaga.

“It [music] was my therapy which is why I was able to move forward.”

But it’s about unconditional love and I called it ‘Kasi Kung Kahit.’”

ALEXA ILACAD ON MENTAL HEALTH

“Obviously this pandemic has been hard on everyone and it’s taken a toll on our mental health, physical health, everything.

"So I guess my best advice would be to take it one day at a time and let’s not pressure ourselves. We don’t have to be productive all the time, we don’t have to force ourselves, we can take breaks.

"It’s really important to take breaks and recharge yourself because everyday is a new battle, it’s a different battle we have to face.

“Especially us millennials, we feel this pressure to just work really hard and already be stable at such a young age.

“So iyon lang for me, it’s really important to take breaks, and, if you think that you’re not okay, to ask for help. Like, it’s okay to ask for help because that’s what I did, and now it’s helping me be a better version of me, because I’m getting the help that I need.

“Because this pandemic really did play with my brain and everything.

“Also it’s important to have a really, really good support system that you can count on during all crazy times like these.”
