2022 witnessed the revival of Manila’s live concert scene two years after the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to stay at home and listen to music on music platforms and watch our favorite artists perform online.
All thanks to “revenge” concertgoers eager to spend their money just to see their favorite artists perform live.
Dozens of international acts—including Billy Eilish, Maroon 5, Louis Tomlinson, NIKI, Joji, Rich Brian, LANY, and many others—visited the Philippines this year to perform for their Filipino fans.
A number of K-drama and K-Pop stars such as Ji Chang-wook, Hwang In Youp, Cha Eun Woo, Red Velvet, Tomorrow x Together, Jessi, B.I., Bambam, (G)-IDLE, and Jackson Wang, to name a few, also flew to the country to meet their Filipino fans.

ALESSO
Ovation Productions is bringing world-famous Swedish DJ Alesso back to the Philippines for a solo concert happening on December 17, 2022, Saturday, at SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City.
This marks Alesso's comeback to the Manila concert scene after six long years.
His last outing in the country took place in September 2016, as one of the headliners of the Road To Ultra music festival held at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Alesso is best known for his songs "Under Control," "If I Lose Myself," and "Heroes," among many others. This year, he released four new songs: "In My Feelings," "Words," "Only You," and "Dark."

SEVENTEEN
K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN is also returning to the country this December 17, 2022, for another night of performances for Pinoy CARATs.
The 13-member boy band will be staging their Be The Sun world tour at Philippine Arena in Bulacan, following the massive success of their two-night concert at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City last October 2022.
The concert is organized by Live Nation Philippines in partnership with SMART Live and Viu Philippines.
The group composed of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino are known for their chart-topping hits such as "HOT," "Don't Wanna Cry," and "Rock With You," among many others.

BEN&BEN
Ben&Ben will wrap up their concert tour with their Homecoming Concert happening on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City.
Initially dubbedSend-Off Concert, the show was originally scheduled to happen in September 2022 at the CCP Open Grounds in Pasay City before their North American tour.
The 9-member indie folk-pop band, however, had to postpone their concert to a later date due to Typhoon Henry (international name: Hinnamnor).
Ben&Ben—composed of brothers Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin Guico, Poch Barretto, Jam Villanueva, Agnes Reoma, Patricia Lasaten, Toni Muñoz, Andrew de Pano, and Keifer Cabugao—are known for their songs "Leaves," "Kathang Isip," "Maybe The Night," and "Araw-Araw," among many others.

SB19
P-Pop group SB19 is also wrapping up its WYAT world tour with a Homecoming concert happening at Araneta Coliseum this Sunday, December 18, 2022.
The group kicked off their tour with a sold-out concert at Araneta Coliseum last September 17, 2022. SB19 also had stops in major cities around the country including Cebu, Clark, and Davao, before flying to Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, and Singapore.
SB19 is best known for their songs "Go Up," "WYAT (Where You At)," "MAPA," "Bazinga," and "Alab," among many others. Recently, the group released a brand new single "Nyebe" as part of their Homecoming concert promotions.

"Kings of Hallyu" Super Junior is fulfilling their promise to their Filipino fans this weekend.
The group will be staging their concert dubbed SUPER JUNIOR WORLD TOUR – SUPER SHOW 9: ROAD IN MANILA atSM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City on December 17 and 18, 2022.
Super Junior is known for their songs "Sorry, Sorry," "Mr. Simple," Sexy, Free & Single," and "Bonamana," among many others. Their most recent releases are "Mango," "Don't Wait," and "Celebrate."

Super Junior had to postpone their Manila concert back in August 2022 after the sudden passing of Eunhyuk's father. At that time, Siwon also had to pull out after testing positive for COVID-19.

Eraserheads' Ely Buendia, Marcus Adoro, Buddy Zabala, and Raimund Marasigan are closing 2022 with a rocking note as they play as one unit once again for their reunion concert Huling El Bimbo.
The OPM rockstars' long-awaited reunion concert will happen on Thursday, December 22, at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City.
