“This is crazy! Ting Ting Tang Tang is real!”

Lahad ng dating It's Showtime mainstay, “I did the challenge back in October 2022, it didn’t go viral. Actually, walang masyadong nanonoood and I thought that this trend was not for me.

“Then in November 2022, inulit ko, pero this time, in Singapore. I think it was like two, three million views in an hour.

“It was such a subtle easy type of choreography that I did in a train, sa subway ng Singapore and, yeah, dun nagsimula na nag-viral.”

“When I got back to the Philippines from Singapore, this was also in November, I did the challenge again.

"Pero [to make the] long story short, it was at this meeting, isang event sa BGC, sa may Uptown na kung saan namin inilabas yung pinakauna, pinaka-viral video namin na umabot ng 12 million plus views sa loob ng isang araw.

“It was instigated by the Kembot Squad, pero noon, hindi ko sila kilala.

“Kumakain kami ni Mr. Mainit aka Kenjonhs Serrano from the Philippine All Stars. We were just eating and a couple of guys from this event came up to me, namely si Jerry and MJ. Nag-usap sila to do a collab with me.

“So when they came up to me I was, like, 'TikTok?' Medyo malalim yung pinag-usapan namin ni Ken so I said 'yes' being as nice as I am.

If you wanna learn it, come back in ten minutes tapos gawin na natin.'

“And lo and behold, bumalik sila sa loob ng ten minutes and said, ‘Let’s do it!’ And I said, ‘Okay, mag-rehearse tayo ng isang beses tapos sa labas tayo mag-video.'

“After three takes, ginawa namin. I wasn’t satisfied with the first one so we changed the peg into coming from the pedestrian lane.

“That was a hit, nasa 70 million views ngayon sa TikTok pa lang. Pero if we count Facebook, if we count everything, lahat ng TikTok videos na ginawa ko at ginawa ng Kembot Squad, aabot siguro tayo ng 400 to 500 million views ang total, and it's just crazy,” detalyadog kuwento ni Eric tungkol sa pagsisimula ng pagiging viral sa Pilipinas ng "Ting Ting Tang Tang" Tiktok dance video niya at ng Kembot Squad.

Dagdag pa niya, “Hindi namin ine-expect, especially ako, I have no idea na magba-viral talaga ito. I just did it because I was just a fun choreography, it send good vibes and its about love.

“Basically, ang goal ko during December, especially the festive season, was to share more love around the Philippines, go around the Philippines and do the Eruption 'Ting Ting Tang' challenge until a lot of people caught on it, and then nabigla ako that it got popular.

“Then what happened was I started guesting sa mga TV show and do collabs with other celebrities. It just boomed.”

Saad niya, “I just got nothing but gratitude para sa mga tao na sumusuporta not only Filipinos, pero grabe, sa buong mundo nag-viral because kung makikita mo yung comments, it’s different languages.

“Hindi natin naiintindihan yung sinasabi ng mga tao but all I know is it just send good vibes, put a smile on people’s face when they’re down.

“I get a lot of those na there are days na terrible pero dahil napanood nila ang video, nakaka-send ng good vibes and makes them positive.

“Hanggang ngayon, 'Ting Ting Tang' is the predominant or most viral trending song going into the New Year's and after the New Year's.

“Now, there are few more songs that me and the Kembot Squad want to do and continue to send good vibes sa lahat ng mga tao.

“I’m just very very happy and nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng mga tao na nanonood, shared it and liked it."
