Electro pop duo Twenty One Pilots will have a meet-and-greet with fans in the Philippines this July.
Filipinos will get to see them perform at the Ayala Alabang Town Center on July 18 and at Trinoma on July 19.
The Ohio-based duo is currently composed of Tyler Joseph (vocals, piano, ukulele) and Josh Dun (drums).
Aside from the Philippines, Twenty One Pilots will perform in other Asian countries such as Japan, Taiwan, China, Thailand and South Korea.
Twenty One Pilots is known for the singles "Ride," "Holding on to You" and “Stressed Out.”
Formed in 2009, the group was originally composed of college friends Tyler Joseph, Nick Thomas and Chris Salih. When Thomas and Salih left the group, Joseph recruited Josh Dun, thus forming the duo as it is known now.
Twenty One Pilots put out two self-released albums: a self-titled record in 2009 and Regional at Best in 2011.
The duo eventually signed up with Fueled by Ramen, which released 2013's Vessel, that reached No. 10 on the Alternative Albums Chart.ï¿½ ï¿½
For Vessel, they worked with Greg Wells, the producer behind hits by Adele, Kid Cudi, Katy Perry, among others. ï¿½
That year, Twenty One Pilots had the chance to tour with American rock band Fall Out Boy. ï¿½
In April 2014, Twenty One Pilots landed at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart for its latest album Blurryface.
This studio album contains the singles "Fairly Local," "Tear in My Heart" and "Stressed Out."
