Zedd shows his True Colors at Neverland Manila concert

Laser lights, multicolored glow sticks and beautiful confetti were in abundance during Zedd’s 12,000 sold-out show in Manila last Saturday night, August 9.

Zedd—Anton Zaslavski in real life—performed an incredible two-hour set to the delight of the dreamchasers present at the the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The enthusiastic crowd let out a loud scream as the lights dimmed.

“Beautiful Now” roared through the packed venue as the Russian-born, German-raised DJ spread his arms wide and waited for the beat to drop.

Zedd shouted: “Manila, are you ready?”

The crowd wildly answered back singing, “Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba ba-ba-bapa ba-ba-ba bapa…”

“I’m so excited, this is one of the biggest shows I’ve ever played. This is my fourth time in Manila and I’m always excited to be here.

"Let’s get ready to party!” exclaimed the EDM phenomenon.

With sheer determination and full concentration, the classically trained 25-year-old superstar enjoyed every minute of his set.

The Grammy award-winning DJ merged mainstream, old hit singles, and new tracks from his sophomore studio album True Colors.

He began with famous tunes such as Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be,” Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars,” Magic!’s “Rude,” Bastille’s “Pompeii” and David Guetta’s “Titanium.”

The crowd danced and sang along to his hits, including “Stay The Night,” “Clarity,” “Break Free,” “I Want You To Know,” “Find You” and “Spectrum.” He even threw in some classic ones such as “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” and Empire of the Sun’s “Alive.”

Although the celebrated DJ and producer looked tiny on stage but there was nothing small about his energetic performance. Zedd’s showmanship during his two-hour set was clearly on point. In fact, the charismatic DJ even stood on his table towards the end of his set and put on the Philippine flag as a show of appreciation for his Filipino EDM fans.

With a flawless and bouncy performance, Zedd lifted the Arena and really filled the night with beautiful color.

Not to mention, the solid performance from his protege DJ Haywyre and cool beats from DJ Callum David who opened the show.

Clearly, the Neverland Manila 2015 Zedd True Colors Tour was a show not to be missed as it was filled with loud cheering, as well as non-stop dancing and singing.

In all, when it comes to EDM, Zedd only proves why he is the star that the scene needs, an incredible DJ who is definitely going to be around for a long time.
