Tom Taus, renowned DJs included in lineup of Chroma Music Festival on April 2

Chroma Music Festival will take place at the Globe Circuit Makati Event Grounds on April 2, 2016.

Electronic Dance Music Festivals have become popular in the Philippines and this summer, Filipinos will be experiencing a brand new event as Chroma Music Festival makes its way to Globe Circuit Makati Event Grounds on April 2, 2016.

CHROMA 2016 announces a range of veteran and fresh-faced local acts.

Thomas Taus Jr., popularly known Tom Taus, gained recognition when he first started in as the title role in 1996 family film Cedie. A few years ago prior to migrating to the United States, Tom discovered his talent for mixing party beats at a friend’s private pool party. In 2001, he made a name for himself around LA music circuit as DJ Tommy T. Last November, he performed with topnotch DJ’s David Guetta, Skrillex, Alesso, Dash Berlin and Armin Van Buuren in ULTRA Japan, a major EDM Festival.

Ace Ramos and Mars Miranda are also part of the lineup of the 2016 Chroma Music Fest.

Considered to be one of the most renowned DJs in the Philippines, Ace Ramos is a regular headliner at events all over the country, rocking parties for celebrated festivals, and sharing the stage with the world’s best DJs.

Meanwhile, Mars Miranda is well known for putting together sets that bring a good vibe to the crowd. His unique sound offers fusion of the most current tracks with classic hiphop R&B, rock, soul, funk and disco. He also has performed alongside international names in the music industry.

David Ardiente and Therese Garcia will be setting the stage on fire as they perform back-to-back this summer. David Ardiente is a DJ who has stood the test of time and backed up by more than a decade of exprerience. Evolving with today's generation X's music, David can be considered a crowd-reader who plays powerful and fearless sets. He has opened and closed for international DJs such as Galantis, Bassjackers, Cedric Gervais, Sandro Silva, Otto Knows, Dirty South, Dada Life and many others.

For the first time, he teams up with personally-trained and mentored certified hottie DJ Therese Garcia who has played in several of the country's local festivals and has held residencies in clubs in the metro. Therese has also opened for international DJs such as timmy trumpet and feenixpawl.

Funk Avy, dubbed as the Philippines’ "King of Electro and Banging Remixes,” is a respected DJ / Producer / Remix Artist who has always raised the bar in musical innovation and artistry. He is also the first Pioneer Digital DJ Champion in the Philippines. Funk Avy has opened sets for top international DJs, and a regular fixture in major festivals and events all over the Philippines.

Our next DJ has been in the scene for quite some time but it was only in the past year and a half where he became very active and worked his crowd thru his music flavor. For Lucio Pua, crowd reading was one of his first lessons as a DJ, so expect genres from his set that will tell a good story to remember. He is fond of playing house, EDM, top 40s and even cheesy songs (Taylor Swift perhaps), “Basta Masaya” as he would always say. He regulary plays at Urbn or in provinces such as Cebu, Iloilo, etc.

This event will also introduce two female local artists: Cathy Frey and Sai Dy. Sai Dy is a fresh face from Australia, while Cathy Frey is a model-turned-DJ. Both ladies started their DJ career from small gigs at some bars and clubs in the metro. They had their big break last year, in one of the hottest Halloween events, Assemblage: The Court of Owls. They made a craze through their opening/closing set for international DJs Tom Swoon, Thomas Newson and Mightyfools.

Festivalgoers can also look forward to international acts headlining this summer's most anticipated event.
