There's a dance craze hitting the internet and you have probably heard of it—the "Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen" song.

This is performed by singer-songwriter Piko-Taro, a fictional character created by Japanese comedian Daimaou Kosaka. Piko-Taro's music video for the song was released last August 25 and it took the song over a month before it became viral. His video has already received 38.4 million views on YouTube, as of writing.

Celebrities caught on the #PPAP fever and couldn't resist perform their version of the song. One of the most viral celebrity versions of the PPAP song is probably the dance cover of GMA-7 heartthrob Alden Richards. His video, which was posted on Eat Bulaga's official Facebook page, garnered over 820,000 views, as of writing.

Not to be outdone, Alden's onscreen partner Maine Mendoza also made a dance cover video of the song.
